An Electronic Technician job in Buffalo, NY is currently available through PRADCO at our Fortune 500 manufacturing client. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards for state-of-the-art digital printing technology. To be considered for the Electronic Technician, you should have 3+ years of experience troubleshooting circuit boards.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Repair Circuit Boards: Diagnose and fix issues with electronic circuit boards using various electronic test instruments (Voltmeter, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, etc).
- Component Replacement: Ability to replace faulty components on circuit boards during troubleshooting (Surface Mount & Thru-Hole).
- Program Circuit Boards: Configure and program circuit boards using various tools.
- Wire Systems in Control/Server Cabinets: Cable routing and terminating wires inside AC/DC control & server cabinets.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Use of a voltmeter to troubleshoot electrical systems (AC & DC).
- Software Loading on Servers: Installation of various software on multiple servers housed in server cabinets.
- Circuit Board Installation: Capable of installing & removing various circuit boards within enclosures and servers.
- PLC Input and Output Wiring: Wire inputs and outputs for programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- System Testing and Data Analysis: Test system functionality and analyze data.
- Manuals and Diagrams: Read and understand technical manuals and diagrams.
- Collaboration with Engineers: Work with engineers and other professionals on technical tasks.
- System Building and Repair: Utilize various tools to build and repair systems.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to production engineering and field service engineers.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain schematics, source code, and operational documentation for production release.
Qualifications:
- AAS degree in Electronic Technology or 3-5 years of related work experience.
- Having experience in PCB troubleshooting and surface mount technology is a plus.
- Having 5+ years of experience in manufacturing & troubleshooting of AC & DC enclosures is a plus.
- PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
- Knowledge of digital printing systems or raster image processing would be a plus.
- Previous experience as an electronic technician or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry.
- Experience working with various tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and diagnostic software (e.g., PC-based).
